Sheffield TV
Sheffield TV was renamed TV Sheffield in 2010.
The traditional naming convention for broadcast stations consisted of appending “TV” to the channel descriptor hence “Sheffield TV“. However, over recent years a modernisation of this convention has taken place and reversed the order.
To reflect this shift in convention the decision was taken in 2010 to adopt “TV Sheffield” as the organisation and broadcast station brand.
The Broadcast Television aspect of the organisation’s remit encompasses the promotion of regional talent, locations and facilities for broadcast television production within Sheffield and the wider Sheffield City Region.
Support for Broadcast Television Production, Film Production and high quality Video Production are also integral to the organisation’s remit.
